The Eric Ripert Kitchen by Poggenpohl @ Chelsea Green Condominium

In the real-estate industry developers are finding that celebrity names offer a competitive edge in the luxury market. So, they are increasingly bringing in “big names” for the little stuff—the details that often sell apartments.

In Miami, musician, actor and, in recent years, interior designer Lenny Kravitz created some of the new interior looks at Paramount Bay. Designer Victoria Hagan recently collaborated on interiors of Philip House on New York’s Upper East Side. And Chef Eric Ripert, owner of the Michelin-rated Le Bernardin and a frequent TV personality, is involved with a planned condominium in the city’s Chelsea neighbourhood slated for completion in 2013, The Chelsea Green Condominium.

Chelsea Green a 14-storey and 51-unit building is the first development to feature The Eric Ripert Kitchen by Poggenpohl, exclusively throughout the building. Reinvented for the at-home chef in everyone, the kitchen features a cook top on the island and plating area to prep dishes, so the host is able to entertain and serve surrounding seated guests while cooking. This innovative kitchen is designed to exceed the Energy Star standard — with eco-friendly state-of-the-art Liebherr refrigerators (which are 100% recyclable), an energy-efficient dishwasher by Bosch, cook top and oven by Smeg, and water-conserving faucets by Grohe. Partners Liebherr, Smeg, Bosch, Grohe, and Caesarstone perfectly complement the standard of high-end sustainability that Chelsea Green embodies.

The kitchens at Chelsea Green are an indulgence in design, ergonomics, and energy efficiency.

Chef Eric Ripert already admitted he has bought his own unit in the building.
