Panerai Transat Classique 2012 @ Cascais

Panerai Transat Classique 2012, the only transatlantic regatta of classic boats is a great event in the world of sailing.

The villa of Cascais, Portugal will be hosting this ragata in next 2nd of December. A  fleet of classic and vintage boats ranging  will be sealing from Cascais to Barbados, across the Atlantic Ocean.

13 vessels are participating in this historical regatta, true legends of sailing such as: THE BLUE PETER, built in 1930 in Scotland, with 20 yards and a constant presence in the classic regattas supported by Officine Panerai; the CORTO, a bermudiano boat with 13 meters built in 1973 and winner of the Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge circuit this year in the category “Classics”; the CROIX DES GARDES built in France in 1947 with teak planks 40 mm thick hidden from the Germans during the Nazi occupation and the smallest sailboat PERSEPHONE  (11.3 meters) and can get good performance if you choose to seek the windiest ocean sections, among others.

This race will also be a celebration of beauty, elegance and uniqueness of handmade candle classics.
